James Metcalf (1925-2012)

Anouncing the death of artist and sculptor James Metcalf:

Jimmy Metcalf, born in New York in 1925, settled in 1951 in Deya with his then wife Tom. He worked with Robert Graves on the woodcuts which form an integral part of Graves’s ADAM’S RIB, Trianon, 1955. Later he moved to Santa Clara del Cobre and worked with the copper artisans there to recover their pre-Columbian craftsmanship. He died in Santa Clara on 27 of January 2012. He is survived by his widow Ana Pellicier
