Gravesiana Submission and Contact Information

Portrait of Robert Graves
Journal Logo

1. Gravesiana is published twice yearly. Papers must be received by the editors by March 21 or August 21 respectively to be considered for the Summer and Winter issues.

2. Papers must be word-processed and submitted on disc or as an e-mail file attachment. It does not matter which word-processor (Word, Word Perfect, etc.) or operating system (Windows, Linux, Mac, DOS, etc.) the document has been created in, but please indicate in an attached note which you have used.

3. Mark-up your paper as little as possible. Do not number your pages. Do not indent quotations, merely mark them off with quotation marks and separate them from the body-text by a blank line. Do not create headers or footers. Do not use your word-processor's "automated" footnote utility. Put all named works in italics. Following these instructions will save the editors a great deal of time and effort or the cost of having papers re-typed.

4. There are a number of citation methods in current usage. Gravesiana is published following the MLA system for references and works cited. If you are unfamiliar with the MLA system, please write to the editors for a style-guide.

5. Please do not write lengthy explanatory footnotes. It is preferred that they be incorporated into the main body of the text or cut out.

6. Contributions to Gravesiana are reviewed by an Editorial Board through an online peer review system, access to which is restricted to members of the Editorial Board. All contributions, including critical and biographical studies, news items, and enquiries about reviews should be directed in the first instance to one of the following, who will arrange for them to be added to the system:
